Door stuck or will not move
Recommended fix · about 3 minutes
Do not attempt to move the door by hand. A broken spring can allow the door to drop.
- Keep people and vehicles clear of the opening.
- Check the control panel for a flashing error code and note it.
- Press and hold the CLOSE button for 3 seconds. If nothing moves, do not retry.
- Request an engineer and quote the error code. Mention if a loud bang was heard before the door stopped.
Sectional and roller doors are under high spring tension. This guide is deliberately cautious.
